BILL GATES BIOGRAPHY

Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft and a prominent philanthropist, was born on October 28, 1955, in Seattle, Washington. Gates demonstrated an early interest in technology and programming, which led him to develop his first software program at just 13 years old. In 1975, Gates dropped out of Harvard University to pursue his passion for computing, founding Microsoft with childhood friend Paul Allen. This move proved pivotal as Microsoft went on to become a leading force in personal computing, thanks largely to the development of the MS-DOS operating system and later the Windows OS.

Under Gates’ leadership, Microsoft became a technology giant, dominating the software industry for decades. By the mid-1990s, Gates was one of the richest people in the world, and he became widely known for his role in shaping the modern computing landscape. His vision of a computer on every desk and in every home revolutionized the industry and transformed Microsoft into a household name.
