Dr. Charles Luke is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience spanning churches, non-profit organizations, and public education. An ordained minister and former school superintendent, he has dedicated his career to leadership, education, and community service.
Dr. Luke’s academic journey began at Texas Tech University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Education, followed by a Master of Education in Educational Administration. He furthered his studies at the University of North Texas, obtaining a Doctor of Education in Educational Administration. In his professional career, Dr. Luke has held various roles in Texas public schools from August 1992 to September 2007, including teacher, principal, and superintendent. As a superintendent, he managed educational, financial, human resources, transportation, and information technology functions across three school districts, overseeing staffs ranging from 39 to 462 members and budgets from $1.7 million to $21 million.
Transitioning to non-profit leadership, Dr. Luke served with Volunteers of America from April 2003 to January 2012 in roles such as Board Member, Vice President, and Chief Strategy Officer. His responsibilities encompassed establishing governance structures, setting strategic goals, developing programs, and assisting in corporate strategy formulation.
In September 2007, Dr. Luke founded TPDS Consulting in Fort Worth, Texas, where he serves as CEO and Owner. The firm provides executive management and marketing services across sectors including education, non-profit, technology, oil and gas services, and compliance.
Since January 2012, Dr. Luke has been the Executive Director of the Tarrant County Spiritual Care Network. In this role, he offers spiritual care and support to leadership, staff, and clients of non-profit organizations in Tarrant County, Texas, and facilitates connections between clients and faith communities to extend care.
Dr. Luke’s professional affiliations reflect his dedication to service and leadership. He is a member of the Texas Association of School Administrators, the Association of Texas Professional Educators, and the Fort Worth Rotary Club’s Education Committee. His involvement with Lions Club International includes roles such as Membership Chairman, Publicity Chairman, Vice President, and Board Member. He has also served on the Board of Directors and as Vice Chair for Volunteers of America, Texas, and has been a Board Member and Advocacy Committee Chair for the Veterans Coalition of Tarrant County.
