Ed Sappin is a seasoned finance and business development executive with extensive experience across various industries, including energy, technology, and healthcare. He currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Northwest Innovation Works (NWIW), a low-carbon development and manufacturing company focused on methanol production. In this role, Ed leads the finance function, emphasizing capital formation and financial engineering to support the company’s initiatives in the Pacific Northwest.
In addition to his role at NWIW, Ed is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Sappin Global Strategies (SGS), a New York-based finance and business development firm dedicated to building the next generation of global innovators. SGS partners with high-growth companies in energy, technology, and healthcare, concentrating on enterprises capable of scaling to international markets. Through SGS, Ed has collaborated with private equity funds, Fortune 50 corporations, banks, and startups, contributing to over 60 investments and major projects totaling more than $10 billion globally.
