BIOGRAPHY
Erik Abrahamson, a native of the Midwest, embodies the region’s hard-working values as a founding partner of Abrahamson & Uiterwyk, a personal injury law firm. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Luther College in 1984, followed by a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Stetson University College of Law in 1987. Stetson is consistently ranked among the nation’s top law schools for trial advocacy. During his time there, Erik expanded his legal education by studying in Bordeaux, France, and Oxford, England. He was also selected for Stetson’s prestigious Moot Court Team, achieving first place in the Stetson National Moot Court Competition and second place in the National Appellate Brief Competition.
After graduating, Erik began his legal career as a law clerk for various firms while attending Stetson University. He then practiced with the litigation firm of Park, Smith, Dayton, and Bugg, P.A., from 1987 to 1989. In 1989, driven by a commitment to advocate for injured victims, he established his own law firm, Abrahamson & Uiterwyk. Over the years, the firm has grown, with offices in Tampa, Clearwater, St. Petersburg, and New Port Richey, Florida.
