BIOGRAPHY

George Elhabr is a seasoned mobile growth and business development expert with over seven years of experience in the gaming industry. He has a proven track record in founding and managing game studios, producing, and developing a diverse range of games, from mobile to HTML5 and PC platforms. George’s deep understanding of the gaming industry has been complemented by his expertise in sales, marketing, consulting, and managing cross-functional teams. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated exceptional ability in networking, negotiating, and developing strategic partnerships with clients, publishers, and investors, driving the growth of his own ventures and those of his partners.

George co-founded Groovy Antoid SAL, a successful casual gaming studio in Beirut, where he wore many hats as a developer, producer, project manager, and business developer. Under his leadership, Groovy Antoid launched several games and mobile projects, raised angel funding, and secured grants, including the Tourism Gamification grant. He successfully navigated the challenges of managing both office-based and remote teams while leading the studio through startup accelerators like Techstars. His leadership and vision helped position Groovy Antoid as a competitive player in the mobile gaming market, negotiating publishing deals and building lasting partnerships with key industry stakeholders.

In addition to his entrepreneurial success, George has excelled in various leadership and management roles at companies like NOWWA and FunDream Games. As the producer and project manager at NOWWA, George was responsible for managing a global, fully remote team and ensuring the timely delivery of multiple projects. He worked closely with major industry partners such as Voodoo, Supercell, and Kongregate, leveraging his business development skills to push forward projects like “SuperSnappy.io,” a Web3-enabled social gaming platform, and “Bulletville,” a PC and console parkour team hero shooter. His strong focus on maintaining relationships with partners and clients helped establish a thriving ecosystem around these projects, driving their success in the gaming market.

George’s ability to manage diverse teams and complex projects was further demonstrated during his time at AppAgent, where he served as Business Development Manager. At AppAgent, George was responsible for managing the entire sales pipeline, handling prospecting, sales calls, and deal closures, while also consulting clients on mobile growth strategies. His work at major industry conferences, including GDC, Gamescom, and the App Growth Summit, helped establish his reputation as a thought leader in the mobile gaming industry. Additionally, George has contributed to a wide range of gaming and consulting ventures across MENA and global markets, including developing partnerships for FunDream Games in the MENA region and managing game production for large-scale gaming platforms.

George is highly educated with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the American University of Science & Technology in Lebanon, where he graduated with honors. He also has experience teaching game development to young students using Unity3D, reflecting his dedication to sharing his knowledge and passion for the gaming industry.
