In addition to his role at the Quantum Lab, Karan has been serving as a Senior Venture Builder at Sia Partners’ Growth & Innovation division since December 2019. Over two years, he created approximately $1.7 million in revenue opportunities in steel manufacturing, surgical scheduling, and workforce optimization. He secured a major technology client and led projects aimed at accelerating the clean energy transition. Karan also led business development and tactical pipeline building for a workforce optimization product, resulting in 23 new sales opportunities for the client. In the healthcare sector, he led the value proposition build and US/Canada market entry strategy development for a firm innovating in personalized patient treatment and developed a drug discovery business, establishing capability partnerships that led to paying customers in under two years. Furthermore, he successfully reinvented a longstanding water research firm, enhancing member value and improving sector positioning.
Before joining Sia Partners, Karan worked as a Growth & Innovation Consultant at Inzenka from February 2019 to December 2019. He assisted a UK health organization in understanding the power of data transparency and systematizing the use of data insights for strategic decision-making. He crafted a growth strategy for the diabetes division of a multinational healthcare company facing challenges from a legacy portfolio and new medical device disruptions. Karan also developed and validated nine value propositions for a British energy company to enhance the experience of their six million customers through personalization and automation. Additionally, he created packaged industry solutions for a firm’s existing AI computer vision offering, resulting in three partnerships and two proofs of concept in offshore windmill and automotive paint inspection.
From July 2017 to January 2019, Karan served as the Industry X.0 Innovation Hub Lead at Accenture Technology. Karan’s entrepreneurial journey began with co-founding The Gregory, The Mario Jude, and The Bombay Cutting from January 2015 to July 2017. He designed and built the UI and UX for the online stores, optimizing them through market research, customer interviews, and user testing. He streamlined the value chain by effectively managing inventory and collaborating with international manufacturers.
