Kyle Black

Kyle’s professional journey advanced when he became a flight instructor at UND, where he was responsible for providing flight and ground instruction to students from all over the world. His instructional approach emphasized safety and efficiency, ensuring that students operated within federal regulations while building their aviation skills. After his time as a flight instructor, Kyle began working in aircraft management for local corporations, operating various aircraft, including the Piper Seneca, Piper Navajo, Cessna 414, and Pilatus PC12. This experience provided him with extensive knowledge of managing corporate aircraft and overseeing their operations.

Kyle’s career took a significant step forward when he obtained a single-pilot type rating in the Beechcraft Premier Jet from FlightSafety International in Wichita, Kansas. He went on to fly for a Part 135 charter operator, where he gained experience in both the Premier Jet and Pilatus PC12. Over time, his skill and leadership in the field led to his appointment as Chief Pilot, where he now manages the flight department for a Part 135 On-Demand Charter Operation. In this role, Kyle is responsible for providing safe and efficient charter operations, overseeing pilot training, and managing the flight training department. Additionally, he is responsible for ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, handling check rides, and overseeing a fleet of rental aircraft.

Outside of his professional work, Kyle is passionate about adventure and learning. He enjoys activities like skydiving, scuba diving, zip lining, and running half marathons. Kyle’s enthusiasm for new experiences reflects his proactive approach to both his career and personal life. Whether piloting an aircraft or engaging in outdoor activities, Kyle continually seeks to push his limits and gain new insights.
