
BIOGRAPHY
Laura Flippin is a highly accomplished attorney with an extensive and distinguished career in the legal and governmental sectors. Raised in Arlington, Virginia, Laura graduated from The College of William and Mary in 1992 with a degree in government and public policy. She continued her academic journey at the University of Virginia, where she earned a Master of Arts in American Government and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. Laura’s educational background laid a strong foundation for her successful legal career, one that includes working in both the public and private sectors.
Throughout her career, Laura has held several high-profile positions. She served as Special Assistant to the President at the White House, where she was involved in critical policy decisions. Additionally, she was appointed as Deputy Assistant Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice, where she oversaw more than a third of the civil litigation caseload for the Civil Division, handling matters related to the Department of Homeland Security, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Food and Drug Administration. Laura also worked as a Clearance Counsel in the White House Counsel’s office, managing background checks and ethical considerations for Presidential and U.S. Senate-confirmed appointees.
