Nelson Holdo is a distinguished private jeweler with over 35 years of experience in the luxury goods and jewelry industry. He is widely regarded for his expertise in precious gems, fine jewelry, and high-grade Swiss watches. In addition to his role as a consultant and appraiser, Nelson has made significant contributions as a lecturer, sharing his extensive knowledge with both professionals and enthusiasts alike. His client base is international, with an impressive list that includes television and movie personalities. Nelson provides personalized consultations, often meeting with clients in the comfort of their homes, offices, or at a private jewelry salon in Pasadena, where he offers exclusive, high-end services that reflect his deep understanding of the jewelry market.
Throughout his illustrious career, Nelson has held key leadership positions, including serving as the President of Black, Starr & Frost, America’s first jeweler since 1810. During his tenure from 2011 to 2014, he oversaw the successful transition of the company to a beautiful new waterfront location in Newport Beach, contributing to consistent sales growth and increased market share. This role further solidified his reputation as a leader in the industry, demonstrating his ability to drive strategic initiatives that positively impacted the brand. Prior to his work with Black, Starr & Frost, Nelson founded Asanti Fine Jewellers in San Marino, where he served as President for nearly 20 years.
