In 2008, Rhys gained national recognition as the vibrant runner-up on Australia’s inaugural season of “So You Think You Can Dance.” This exposure led to further opportunities, including the release of his single “Hot Summer” in 2009, which was featured in Channel 10’s summer advertising campaign. He also portrayed ‘Elf the Fairy-Cake-Maker’ on the children’s television show “The Fairies,” where he contributed as both a cast member and the show’s choreographer.
