In August 2003, Richard established the Law Offices of Richard DeNapoli, where he served as a solo practitioner within a collaborative group of attorneys until June 2008. His practice focused on real estate law and closings, wills, trusts and estate planning, probate, mortgage law, incorporations, and civil litigation. He managed all real estate closings and related accounting for the group, frequently conducted seminars on estate planning, and issued title insurance as the owner of A Florida Title Company, LLC. Although he became less active in solo practice after June 2008, Richard continues to maintain his LLC and Florida Bar license.
Transitioning into the financial sector, Richard joined a private bank in June 2008 as a Trust and Investment Officer within the Personal Financial Services Division, a position he held until July 2013. As part of a Wealth Advisory Service team managing $1.8 billion in assets, he provided services to high-net-worth individuals, focusing on investment management, trust and fiduciary responsibilities, and wealth transfer planning. He managed approximately 300 client relationships and coordinated the Life Driven/Goals Driven Investing Beta Initiative for Miami-Dade in 2011. His exceptional performance earned him the Chairman’s “Absolute Quality” Award that same year.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Richard is actively involved in various interests and activities. He is a regular attendee at the Annual Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning and Attorney/Trust Officer Liaison Conferences, reflecting his commitment to staying abreast of developments in his field. Fluent in Italian, Richard is a member of Delta Phi Epsilon, the National Professional Foreign Service Fraternity, and has experience as a former White House intern. He graduated as valedictorian from Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory in Hollywood, Florida, in 1995, and is a member of the Real Property Probate and Trust Law Section and the Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Bar.
