Ryan Goodwin is a dynamic entrepreneur, creative director, and founder of several innovative ventures, including Dinng, a design studio that helps brands define their core purpose— their “Why.” As a visionary leader, Ryan has built his career on a passion for design and branding, using his creativity to help companies transform into meaningful, impactful brands. He thrives on the challenge of solving complex design problems, believing that great design can inspire, elevate, and drive business results. His entrepreneurial journey began with Struck, a creative agency he co-founded, which grew from a basement-based startup to a full-service, digital-forward agency with offices across the United States.

Struck, the company Ryan co-founded in 2003, has been central to his professional growth and success. Under his leadership as Creative Director and Chairman, Struck expanded into a nationally recognized creative agency with offices in Salt Lake City, Portland, and Los Angeles. Struck’s client list includes some of the world’s most prominent brands, such as DreamWorks, Jack in the Box, Gatorade, and PepsiCo. The agency’s philosophy of making things greater than they are, paired with exceptional creative output, earned Struck accolades and recognition, including AdAge’s Small Agency of the Year in 2011. Ryan’s focus on driving business results through design helped Struck thrive in a competitive industry, cementing his reputation as a forward-thinking leader in creative strategy and branding.

In addition to his work at Struck, Ryan is the founder of Go GungHo, a company focused on creating focus and energy supplements. As the driving force behind Go GungHo, Ryan wrote the business plan, developed the visual brand, and crafted marketing messages that resonated with the company’s target audience. His experience in developing the brand, managing its social media presence, and overseeing its digital strategy further showcases his ability to handle the full spectrum of brand development, from inception to execution.

Beyond his entrepreneurial ventures, Ryan has contributed to the design community through his involvement with AIGA (the professional association for design). He served as the Web Chair for the Salt Lake Chapter, where he managed the digital presence and ensured that the chapter’s online communication was engaging and informative. His commitment to the design community has remained a constant theme throughout his career, as he continues to mentor young designers and offer insights into the ever-evolving world of branding and creative leadership.

Ryan’s education, which includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from Brigham Young University, provided the foundation for his career in design. His interests in modern architecture, branding, fashion, and product design reflect his broad creative outlook and his passion for exploring new ways to blend aesthetics with functionality. Outside of his professional work, Ryan enjoys activities like mountain biking, snowboarding, and traveling, which fuel his creativity and inspire his work in design and branding.
