Scott Olson is a highly regarded motivational speaker, author, and coach who has spent over three decades empowering individuals and teams to reach their fullest potential. With a unique background in athletics, Scott has transformed his experiences in the sports world into powerful lessons that inspire people to face challenges, overcome adversity, and achieve success. He is particularly known as a “turnaround” expert, having authored The Turnaround Coach and successfully revitalized seven programs throughout his career. His dynamic speaking engagements and coaching sessions focus on building resilience and unlocking the potential of individuals and organizations.

Scott’s career has been deeply rooted in education and sports coaching. From 1988 to 2016, he held positions as a teacher and head coach at various high schools across Illinois, including Orion High School, United Township High School, Danville High School, La Salle-Peru High School, and Rock Falls High School. Throughout these years, Scott’s leadership helped shape the academic and athletic development of countless students and athletes. His ability to connect with young people, mentor them, and guide them through personal and athletic growth has been a hallmark of his teaching and coaching career. Scott’s coaching experience includes organizing training camps and coaching young athletes through various programs, with a particular focus on skills development and team building.

In addition to his work as a coach and teacher, Scott has spent over two decades as a motivational speaker and consultant. Through Scott Olson Consulting, he has been delivering impactful messages to audiences ranging from college athletes to high school students, educators, and AAU program participants. Academically, Scott holds a Master’s degree in Communications Science from Governor’s State University, where he focused on communications. He also earned a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of St. Francis, where he was actively involved in baseball. His education, combined with his vast practical experience, has equipped Scott with a strong foundation in both teaching and coaching, enabling him to communicate effectively and inspire audiences through his words and actions.
