Stacey Shells

In 2005, Stacey was recruited by Uncommon Schools to take on a leadership role in opening and developing the organization’s first upstate middle school. Under her direction, the school achieved tremendous success, with the founding class ranking #6 in the state of New York for English language arts on the state test in 2009. Her achievements at Uncommon Schools did not stop there. She went on to open the organization’s first upstate elementary campus, which now serves students in grades K-4. This experience not only demonstrated Stacey’s leadership abilities but also her capacity to develop and implement effective strategies that drive student achievement.

Throughout her career, Stacey has maintained a deep focus on student success and the implementation of best practices in education. Her role as Managing Director at Victory Education Partners in Chicago has been an extension of her work at Uncommon Schools, where she continued to prioritize high academic standards, the development of strong school cultures, and the use of data to inform decision-making. Stacey’s leadership has been instrumental in fostering an environment of academic excellence and growth, impacting countless students’ lives in the process.

Stacey holds a Master of Science in Education from Pace University and a Master of Arts in Education from The Johns Hopkins University. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Hampton University. This strong educational foundation, combined with her hands-on experience in the classroom and in leadership positions, has equipped her with the tools necessary to drive meaningful change in the education sector. Stacey’s dedication to her work and her ability to inspire others make her an influential leader in education.

Outside of her professional commitments, Stacey enjoys soccer, reading, wine tasting, and traveling.
