1. Who you are dealing with

This website and the service are operated by Professional Profile. Where these terms say we, us or our, that is who they mean. You can reach us at your@professional-profile.com.

2. What we do

We write, format, publish and host a profile page about you. What your page will contain, and when it will be delivered, is agreed with you before we start.

3. What you give us

To write your profile you send us information about your career. You confirm that it is accurate, that it is yours to share, and that we may publish it.

Making sure your content does not breach someone else's rights, or a confidentiality or employment obligation you are under, is your responsibility rather than ours.

4. Your page after it is published

We will represent you accurately and we will correct anything that is wrong. After publication you can ask for reasonable updates and changes for as long as your profile is live.

We may decline or remove content that is unlawful, misleading or otherwise inappropriate. If that happens we will tell you why.

5. Fees and payment

Writing and publishing your profile costs $100 once, which includes your first year online. After that, keeping it live and making changes costs $50 a year.

The renewal is charged to your payment method each year, starting twelve months after your profile goes live, unless you cancel first. Charges are shown before you pay. You can cancel at any time by emailing us; cancelling stops future renewals and your page stays up until the end of the period you have paid for.

Payments are processed by Stripe and we do not store your card details. If a renewal is not paid, we may unpublish your page until it is.

The creation fee is refundable up to the point where we begin writing, and not after. Renewal fees are not refundable once charged. Prices are in US dollars and may change for future renewals with reasonable notice.

6. Who owns what

The design, layout, branding and original wording of this website belong to us. The information you supply stays yours, and you give us the licence we need to write, publish and host your profile with it.

7. What we are responsible for

We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for things outside our control such as where a search engine or an AI assistant decides to place your page. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. Links to other sites

Our pages link to other websites, including sources for the facts on a profile. We are not responsible for what those sites contain or do.

9. Changes to these terms

We update these terms when the service changes. The version published here is the one that applies, and the date above tells you when it last changed.

10. Which law applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
